September Blog

I can’t believe we have now entered the Ber months how did that happen? This year is going way too fast. I had a good break in August but I didn’t get much bird activity in the garden but I did enjoy The Edinburgh Festival once again and for once it didn’t rain at all it has been mentioned that this year has been the warmest summer on record .

The only Birding I did was in The Uists & Benbecula in The Outer Hebrides. I was just there in June you ask? That’s true but I went up in the middle of August but it wasn’t for a holiday it was for personal reasons but I did see birds whilst I was there, not as much as I did in June but I did see Eider Ducks on Culla Bay, Sea Eagles on Hosta Bay, Mute Swans, Oystercatchers on South Uist & Buzzard on North Uist.

As we enter September I am gearing up to start Birding again for the Autumn & Winter Season and I will tell you what I get up in a longer blog next month.
