I can’t believe we are in July already 2024 is going in fast. I’m currently on holiday in Benbecula in The Outer Hebrides but I will tell you more about that in the next blog.
After what feels like a long time I returned to North Berwick and visit The Scottish Seabird Centre who were running their Marine Fest at the time. It was a very windy day. The birds I saw mainly on the harbour were Eider Ducks & Pied Wagtail.

Recently after what feels like a long time birds have started emptying the feeders and I had moved the feeders to the summer house. It’s been mainly attracting House Martins, Blue & Great Tits and just before I left for holiday a Bullfinch turned up. One evening I was sitting in the summer house and noticed birds at the feeder not noticing I was watching them so I managed to get a picture of a Blue Tit on this occasion.

I had a great morning at my local patch at Cammo Estate Nature Reserve. I had wondered down to the new board walk and noticed Mallards at it which was nice to see.

It was such a great morning I also saw a Song Thrush, Bullfinch, Crow, Woodpigeon, Great Tit, Magpie & Blackbird.

June was a good month just a few days I left on holiday I watched House Martins flying at close range at my house they did this back in June 2020 maybe one year they will nest there that would be amazing. I’m looking forward to see what July has to offer before I take a month off from Birding in August to enjoy The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, until then Happy Birding.
